In the past 30 years, life has taken me in many directions. A corporate executive, entrepreneur and entertainer; a mom, volunteer, employee, boss; a couch potato and a marathon athlete; a seeker, student, teacher and more. Combine all of those paths with a sense of humor and play and they bring a unique perspective to how life is seen and lived.
This message of the power of play has gone to schools, hospitals and businesses of all types through keynote presentations and workshops given around the world. As a consultant and lecturer in the field of stress management, ABC News, the Chicago Tribune, LA Times and even the Bombay News have featured my life story I have hosted an internet based chat for abcnews.com and been written about in Health Magazine, American Way Magazine, Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, Miami Herald, Palm Beach Post, as well as numerous trade publications.
Professionally, I am Registered Health Underwriter (American College), Health Promotion and Wellness Specialist (Cooper Institute) and supervisor/performer of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit at Miami Childrens Hospital. I spent over 20 years as an insurance executive where I received numerous awards and toured Russia with Dr. Patch Adam's Gesundheit Institute.
Paying it forward, I am president of Kid Focus, Inc., a non-profit organization responsible for inspiring Broward County 2nd graders to read over 150,000 books in the past nine years. (www.KidFocus.org) I am also very involved with my local schools, Boys and Girls Clubs and am a Guardian Ad Litem.
